Uzbekistan's CEC registered 4 candidates from 4 political parties for the elections. The party, that has the majority in the Parliament, the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business people – the Liberal-democratic party of Uzbekistan, appointed  Shavkat Mirzieev, as the country’s prime minister and acting head of the state.

Sarvar Otamuartov is the head of the Central Board of Milliy Tiklanish Democratic Party. Narimon Umarov is appointed as the head of the executive committee of the Justice Social Democratic Party.  Finally, Khotamzhon Ketmonov is appointed as the head of the Central Board of the Uzbekistan People's Democratic party.
