Official Beijing responded to charges of the elected U.S. president-elect Donald Trump because of North Korea. As Beijing said, efforts of the Chinese side in this regard are obvious to all, Reuters reported.

Earlier, Trump accused China that its government did not help North Korea with resolving the issue.

“China has been taking out massive amounts of money & wealth from the U.S. in totally one-sided trade, but won’t help with North Korea. Nice!” Trump wrote.

Responding to the comment, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said China had been pushing for the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.

"China's efforts in this regard are perfectly obvious," Geng told a news briefing. "As a permanent member of the UN Security Council we have proactively participated in relevant discussions on the North Korean nuclear issue and have jointly passed several resolutions with other parties.

"This shows China's responsible attitude".

Earlier mass media reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un  stated that Pyongyang was close to test-launching an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). It was specified that he also promised "to punish enemies of the country", strengthening military potential if the U.S. and South Korea did not refuse conducting exercises.
