Turkish Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın gave explanations with respect to Deputy Prime Minister Veysi Kaynak’s recent statement regarding İncirlik Air Base in Adana, Turkey.
Kalın said on Thursday there was no need for a “rushed evaluation” on discussing the use of this air base, according to Reuters news agency.
Kalın had stated that Ankara questions the presence of US-led coalition forces at İncirlik Air Base.
This statement reflects Turkey’s deep disappointment with the absence of US air support during the Turkish troops’ operations in northern Syria.
