One person was killed on the Southwest China's Yunnan Province due to the elephant attack. The incident took place near the town Jinghong, at a rubber plantation reports Xinhua, referring to the local authorities.

The immigrant worker climbed the tree to escape the rabid animal. He could survive, though the elephant attacked his colleague. The rescuers withdrew from entering the forest to avoid the wild animal; instead they sent a drone.
