Defense Minister of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan, who tops the proportional list of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), on Wednesday met with the Artsakh War freedom fighters, including the representatives of Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, Tigran the Great detachment, Veterans of Karabakh War, Union of Veterans of the War of Liberation and Black Panther detachment in the town of Armavir.
Welcoming the veterans, the minister touched in detail on the interconnection between the two generations—the participants of the first war in Karabakh and those of the April events. In Sargsyan’s words, the concept of “nation-army,” which is in the center of Armenian President’s attention, supposes expansion of participation of freedom fighters, farmers and soldiers in the life of the army.
After his speech, Vigen Sargsyan responded to questions.
