YEREVAN. – Armenian female activists staged a protest in the Republic Square of Yerevan Wednesday on the occasion of the International Women's Day.

The motto of the protest was “I need my rights, not flowers.” According to the activists, by gifting flowers and various presents, men want women to continue obeying them.

In their speeches, the activists stressed that this day should be one of self-organization and resistance. Thereafter, the protestors marched along Nalbandyan street.

Meanwhile, Tsarukyan alliance was handing flowers to women and girls on the opposite pavement.
