YEREVAN. -- Public awareness about Free Democrats party in Armenia is more than 10%, MP candidate Stepan Safaryan said during party’s campaign on Friday.

He expressed confidence that political forces will respect each other's teams.

“We will also be extremely respectful of the votes,” he emphasized.

The candidate recalled that they had already conducted campaign in several districts of capital city Yerevan.

“And, frankly speaking, we saw people waiting for us in all the territorial constituencies. At the moment it will be difficult for me to say how many supporters we have throughout the country, but in Yerevan, at least, the situation is encouraging,” he added.

Khachatur Kokobelyan, the leader of Free Democrats party, in turn, stressed the need for Armenia to suspend membership in the Eurasian Economic Union.

“Armenia should be integrated and become a full member of a large European family. The opportunities that the country will get are clear: every citizen of Armenia can organize his visit to any country of the European Union.”
