YEREVAN. – The challengers of the Communist Party of Armenia (CPA) are primarily the forces that are popular among the people: the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, and the Tsarukyan Alliance [which is led by opposition Prosperous Armenia Party Chairman and businessman MP, Gagik Tsarukyan], CPA MP candidate Irina Hovakimyan said at a press conference on Tuesday.
In her words, these two political forces are the real contenders of Armenia’s communists, in the forthcoming parliamentary election.
“But we, as a party which shall again enter the National Assembly of Armenia after a long break, are obligated to present our ideology, our vision, and which we are doing, unlike the majority of political forces,” added Hovakimyan.
The parliamentary election in Armenia will be conducted on April 2.
