President of Armenia has no thought-out plan regarding his political future. In case the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) wins the majority of votes during the parliamentary elections, the current PM Karen Karapetyan will retain his post.  

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said the aforementioned in an interview with Spanish EFE agency.

''I have long been working in state structures and have held high posts. I started my political career in 1993 as a Defense Minister and I never though what my next office would be. I am in the same situation now. Everything depends on a specific situation. Frankly speaking, I have no thought-out plan. My main goal is to hold the first parliamentary elections in April,'' the President said, adding that the new parliament will be different from all the previous ones thanks to the new model of governance system. Armenia so far used semi-presidential form of governance.  

''Of course, it would be fine if my party wins the majority of votes during these elections. In this case the current premier will retain his post. And if the Government headed by him continues the process of reforms, I see no problem in retaining him in that post. I am the leader of an enormous party and I think I will always find my place corresponding to my experience and exerted efforts. I have been the prime minister of Armenia and I know how difficult that is. People who dream about it cannot imagine the difficulties of that work,'' the Armenian leader noted.
