Time will show whether the construction of Iran-Armenia railway is logical or not.

Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the ruling Republican Party (RPA) of Armenia, said the aforementioned on Wednesday at the meeting with the voters in Yerevan’s Erebuni administrative district.

In his words, if Armenia isn’t building it, this doesn’t mean that the country doesn’t cooperate actively with Iran. Karapetyan expressed satisfaction with the fact that it is all the same to the transporters whether to carry out the transportations by railway or motorway.

“The most important thing is the effectiveness and reliable road, which will make the transportations cheaper. If we have a quality motorway, which corresponds to the international standards, Iran will make use of it,” Karapetyan said, adding that in the US, for instance, the majority of the transportations are carried out by motorways.
