YEREVAN. - Those who privatize plants should be the ones to operate them.

Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the ruling Republican Party (RPA) of Armenia, said the aforementioned on Wednesday at the meeting with the voters in Yerevan’s Nubarashen administrative district.

Now the state obliges these persons to present a management program to them. “If you can’t do it yourself, sell it to someone who can,” the PM noted.

According to him, the state will support local manufacturers but without detriment to the consumers. “Of course, we can say we are closing the border starting from tomorrow and you should buy only local products. But how much will that cost? Can we and should we produce everything? On the other hand, we are ready to support the local manufacturer and subsidize him, if needed, so that our production regains its feet. Then it is already necessary to work independently,” the PM said.
