YEREVAN. – Armenia must keep pace with the European science, but preserve its national identity, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said.
During question and answer session at the National Academy of Sciences, President responded to a question about the transition from a two-to one-step system of academic degrees.
“Some changes are envisaged, but there is no bill yet. My approach is as follows: we must keep pace with the European science, but we have also to preserve national identity. Everything that we do must be done following a broad discussion,” Sargsyan said.
