YEREVAN. – Starting next week, the tenders for the World Bank (WB) programs in Armenia will be held by way of the online public procurement system of the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Minister of Finance Karen Tamazyan told reporters on Friday.

He noted that even though these tenders are currently carried out at the bidding platforms of WB, Armenia’s recent public procurement reforms toward organizing respective tenders at a local level have caused full confidence by this bank.

“We already held [corresponding] training courses among the staff of the foreign programs’ bureau [of the ministry],” added Tamazyan.

The deputy minister noted that talks on the localization of these tenders are underway also with the Asian Development Bank, another major creditor of Armenia.
