YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is also the co-founder of Luys Foundation, on Friday had a meeting with the board members, a group of scholarship holders and alumni of Luys foundation community, as well as the winners of Start Armenia 2016-2017 entrepreneurship competition.
At the outset of the meeting, Executive Director of Luys educational programs, Jacqueline Karaaslanian, briefed the participants on the recent achievements of the foundation, including the objectives of Start Armenia entrepreneurship competition, following which the competition jury members presented the winners, who told the audience about their programs, as well as responded to the question of the President and participants.
Following this, Serzh Sargsyan handed awards to the winners of Start Armenia 2016-2017 entrepreneurship competition, congratulating and wishing them success.
“I want all of us to confirm that all the works presented at the competition are useful and should serve to the development of Armenia. I am certainly very happy that the attempt made by us ten years ago is successfully continuing, and, on the one hand, already hundreds of youths have been able to get good education, while on the other they managed to link it with Armenia, obtain new friends and establish new networks. I am indeed happy for this success that we have, and I think the most real time has come for the Luys alumni, and in general all our youths, to actively participate in the reforms launched in Armenia, since the best reforms can be made only by the youths,” Sargsyan said, assuring that Luys will always continue its activity, contributing to the country’s development.
“We will always support the youths, who are able to study in the best universities but have no means for this. If you have capacities, we will provide you with opportunities,”he stressed.
