The investigation into the case involving detained Azerbaijani military serviceman Elnur Huseynzade is still in progress in the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR).

His attorney, Arkadi Israyelyan, told Armenian News-NEWS.am that he meets with his client on a regular basis.

According to a statement which the NKR National Security Service had disseminated, the Azerbaijani armed forces launched a sabotage attempt toward Talish village of Artsakh, on February 1.

But the NKR Defense Army vanguards took preventive actions and drew the adversary back, making it suffer casualties.

In addition, the Artsakh defense forces protecting the frontline captured Azerbaijani army soldier Elnur Huseynzade.

Criminal charges were brought against Huseynzade, on counts of sabotage attempt and illegal crossing of the NKR state border.
