YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan on Friday received the European Union (EU) member countries’ ambassadors to Armenia, and led by Ambassador Piotr Świtalski, Head of the Delegation of the EU to Armenia.

Noting that Armenia is prepared to develop cooperation with the EU in all domains of mutual interest, the PM stressed that the EU-Armenia constructive and partnership-based dialogue adds momentum to this process, the press office of the government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Also, Karapetyan introduced the priorities set out in the 2017/22 program of the Armenian government, the ongoing reforms, and the projected key activities. 

Describing this program and the reform agenda as ambitious and impressive, Ambassador Świtalski, in turn, reaffirmed EU’s readiness to work with Armenia toward deepening and further strengthening bilateral relations.

Welcoming the steps undertaken by the Armenian government as part of its anticorruption policy—including electoral processes, judiciary reform, human rights, business climate, and several other domains—the EU countries’ ambassadors underscored that they will continue assisting Armenia in the aforementioned key areas.

Also, the discussants conferred on some other matters of mutual interest.
