On the initiative of the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia, a group of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) War veterans on Sunday visited the Monte Melkonian Military-Training School in Dilijan town, and attended the events devoted to the 30th anniversary of Artsakh Movement and 26th anniversary of Armed Forces of Armenia. 

Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan delivered welcoming remarks at the event. He presented the main directions of the Armenian army modernization program and the reforms that have begun in the armed forces, and reflected on the strategy of the Nation-Army concept and the details of the respective programs.

Also, Sargsyan stressed that within the framework of the seven-year army modernization program, the MOD will launch new initiatives in 2018, too.

At the end of the event, the defense minister presented MOD awards to several Karabakh War veterans.
