The Russian State Duma’s position on sanctions against Georgia remains unchanged, TASS cites President of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. Earlier, President Vladimir Putin had said he was against applying sanctions.
As Volodin said, as in the past, the lower chamber of the Russian parliament supports discussion on “the behavior of forces” in Georgia that are “developing anti-Russianism”.
