RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met in the framework of 64th session of U.N. General Assembly in New York. This is the second meeting of the two foreign affairs' leaders.

Clinton having welcomed Nalbandyan said U.S. is Armenia’s partner in democratization and economic development. According to her, relations between the countries are comprehensive and profound, RA MFA informed NEWS.am.

On behalf of the U.S. Administration Clinton expressed readiness to continue cooperation with Armenian President, Government and Foreign Minister. Concerning Armenia-Turkey issue, she positively hailed Armenia’s efforts to normalize relations with Turkey. The U.S. Secretary of State confirmed that the Washington’s position remains unchanged, i.e. the normalization “should take place without preconditions and within a reasonable timeframe”.
