In 2020, Armenia opened 21 new preschool institutions that enrolled 462 children between the ages of 5 and 6. This is what Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia Vahram Dumanyan said during today’s discussion on the report on implementation of the 2020 Action Plan of the Government held as part of the session of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly.

According to him, most of the investment programs in the education sector were targeted at construction and renovation of general education schools and the development of educational infrastructures. “Eight high schools were renovated through a loan program for improvement of conditions for education. The results of the process of creating science laboratories for natural sciences will be summed up after the renovation works are done,” the minister said.
