YEREVAN. – Joining the congratulations of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia on Tuesday congratulated the Kurdish people on the occasion of Nowruz.
According to Knyaz Hasanov, a Kurdish MP from the ruling My Step bloc, Nowruz is one of the oldest holidays of the Kurdish people, and it is celebrated since pagan times.
He thanked the PM Armenia and the Armenian people for such a gesture, emphasizing that the congratulations voiced by the premier have caused admiration and joy to the Kurds all over the world.
In response, the NA speaker Ararat Mirzoyan stated that the Armenian parliament joins the PM's aforesaid congratulations. His words were applauded by all the NA lawmakers.
