At his meeting with the newly appointed Iranian Ambassador to Georgia Majid Saber, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili conveyed an invitation to his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to pay an official visit to Georgia.
The Mehr news agency reports the Georgian President stated that both countries’ high ranking officials are expected to discuss the issues of abolishing visa requirements and opening an Iranian consulate in Batumi.
