On May 27-28, the 12th meeting of the CIS Coordinating Council of the Heads of the Tax (Financial) Investigation services will be held in Almaty. Issues related to the Coordinating Council activities in counteraction to actual threats to economic security, as well as corruption control, will be the focus of the meeting, Novosti Kazakhstan reports. Kazakhstan’s experience in combating corruption is to be presented as the best example in the post-Soviet area.

The purpose of the meeting is to enhance the coordination in preventing economic and corruption-related crimes in CIS member states.

Representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and of the CIS Executive Committee will participate in the meeting.
