Georgia is ready to resume a dialogue with Russia in the formats of the talks only on the de-occupation and territorial integrity of Georgia, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze stated on May 17, Georgia-News reports.

“We wish to speak of the current problems with Russia and do our utmost for Russia to recognize the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia. We speak with Russia in the Geneva format, but it is ineffective yet,” she said.

Georgia’s position takes the reality into account – occupation, the recognition of independence of Georgian territories by Russia. Russia is responsible for causing and resolving the problems, she noted.

According to Russian media’s earlier reports, the former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski stated, during his private visit to Georgia, Tbilisi is ready to resume talks with Russia without preconditions.
