Today Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan is arriving on a two-day visit to Greece.
Yesterday, on May 13, the Turkish Premier announced that Athens can bank on Ankara’s solidarity in its struggle with the global crisis that caused the country to appeal for EU assistance.
The High-Level Cooperation Council, which is formed of some ten ministers on each side, will hold a meeting in Athens, RFE/RL reports. The Council’s objective is to improve bilateral relations that remain strained due to the unresolved Cyprus dispute. The Council is expected to hold annual meetings.
