Turkey keeps on advancing to full membership to the European Union.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated that Turkey is determined to join the EU.

Speaking at a session of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, Davutoglu pointed out Turkey’s desire to cooperate in resolving global and regional problems as an EU member. Turkey regards domestic reforms and integration process as a whole. EU with Turkey as its member will exert major influence on all the regions, he stressed. The Turkish FM noted that Turkey’s determination to join EU should not be unilateral. Davutoglu hopes EU will consider Turkey’s membership in a strategic aspect.
