WASHINGTON. - Armenian-American army maneuvers are scheduled for 2012 in the U.S., said first Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia David Tonoyan in Washington.
Tonoyan held negotiations with U.S. high rank officials, discussed Armenia-U.S. cooperation, military-political questions and issues related to the service of Armenian peacekeepers in Afghanistan.
According to Armenpress, U.S. State Department and the Department for Defense highly appreciated Armenian peacekeepers’ participation in peacekeeping missions. In addition, Armenian army officers will be involved in the training of Afghan army.
