U.S. President Barack Obama held a telephone conversation with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The officials discussed the situation is Syria and expressed concern over use of force against civilians. The sides agreed to keep track of the developments in Syria, CNNturk reports.

Obama and Erdogan also referred to hunger in Africa and providing assistance to needy families.
