MOSCOW. - The heads of member states of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will hold an informal summit in Kazakhstan on August 12, Kremlin press service reports.
“The leaders are expected to exchange views on topical issues of the international situation, including the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as in the CSTO area and will consider several aspects of the CSTO’s activities,” RIA Novosti reports.
It is assumed that the Presidents will ask the CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha to prepare for the next session of the Collective Security Council, scheduled to be held in Moscow, the Kremlin press release reads.
The meeting will begin in Astana, the presidents will then move to Borovoye to continue their work.
Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are included in the CSTO.
