A bust of renowned Armenian conductor Ohan Durian will be installed in Yerevan. Such a decision was made at Tuesday’s meeting of the Board of the Yerevan Council of Elders.

The bust will be placed in front of the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet (Opera House) named after Alexander Spendiaryan.

Durian was a Distinguished Artist of the Armenian SSR, People's Artist of the Armenian SSR as well as a Knight of the Order of the Arts and the Letters of France, and was awarded the Order of St. Mesrop Mashtots and the Medal of Movses Khorenatsi.
