Results of the recent high level meetings on Karabakh settlement are disappointing but one should not be pessimistic, said head of the EU office in Baku Roland Kobia.

“Kazan meeting did not make progress as had been expected. Of course, it causes regret, because the Russian leadership is making serious efforts towards mediation,” APA news agency quotes Kobia. However, head of the EU office considers lack of progress during one meeting should not cast a shade on the entire process.

The process of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be accelerated, he told journalists on Tuesday, Trend reported.

“We would like this process to continue. I would not like to think that the settlement process has ended,” he added.
