Our ideas are very short-term. I feel that phenomenon on myself that when we discuss the phenomena, we have learned to discuss this moment 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during the Second Global Armenian Summit Wednesday—and referring to Armenia's external challenges.
"I believe, in general, we need to look at processes over a longer period of time. We can record that the security architecture we [i.e. Armenia] have adopted has actually proven to be effective. When we consider this issue, we have two more poles of perception. The first is arms, ammunition, army, etc. The second pole is external environment, international community, friends, allies, etc. I want us to look at the images from our position. When I say our security architecture has shown its effectiveness, I mean us first," Pashinyan said, in particular.
He noted that when talking about security, first of all, we should not talk about weapons and ammunition, which, of course, are very important, but about our rules for living in our environment.
"There is no country or military bloc in the world that is able to ensure Armenia's security. Armenia is able to provide security for Armenia in the case of ensuring peace in the region because when we talk about security guarantees, there is only one security guarantee: peace. Our government's policy is to create that guarantee, realizing how difficult it is," Pashinyan emphasized.
