YEREVAN.- Armenian Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan criticized the work of judicial system.

There are still judges who are discrediting the structure and hindering its development, he told journalists on Saturday.

According to him, it this system reforms are advancing slower than in any other field. The current year may be regarded as preparatory to the reforms in 2012, he added.

Tovmasyan considers that the system registers multi-layer problems. There are many gaps in legislations, as well as problems in related fields, among lawyers, prosecutors, etc. In this context the Minister said a program of reforms in the judicial system for 2012-2013 had been developed and would be submitted for confirmation.
