Sweden will provide Ukraine with its largest military aid package to date, worth about $1.2 billion, Swedish defense minister Pal Jonson informed on X.

According to the minister, about $90 million of this amount will go to the production of Ukrainian long-range missiles and drones.

A quarter of the entire package will consist of weapons that Sweden will transfer from its own military reserves.

An amount of $534 million, or 45% of the total, will be allocated for the production of new weapons for Ukraine in Sweden and several other European countries.

Another $250 million will be earmarked to various international funds.

The Swedish government website states that this is the 18th package of military assistance provided to Ukraine.

Since the beginning of Russia’s invasion, the total amount of Swedish military assistance to Ukraine has reached 61.9 billion Swedish kronor (about 5.4 billion euros).
