MOSCOW. - Sovsport.ru’s online voting for the Russian championship’s footballer of the year will end on December 27. 

But the name of Yura Movsisyan, the striker for FC Krasnodar and Armenia’s national team, is removed from the list of candidates. Sovsport.ru’s editorial office explained that this decision was reached because of the Armenian football fans’ machinations during the online voting. 

Sovsport.ru also informed, however, that the 10,549 votes, which Movsisyan has already received, will be maintained, but no more voting will be allowed, in his favor, in the remaining days of the online voting.
