Each resident of Spain’s Granen village had paid 20 Euros (€) to play a lottery, which caused them to win €720 million. Now each of the 1,800 villagers, who participated in the Christmas lottery, will receive €400 thousand.

Hearing of their winning, the villagers joyfully took to the streets, congratulated one another, opened champagne bottles, and filled them on to one another, Sky News reports.

Granen has a population of 2,000, and nothing is known about the mood of the remaining 200 villagers who did not play this lottery.
