Thieves stole Santa’s car while he gave gifts to a group of toddlers in England.

John Stubbs, who was dressed as Father Christmas, parked his Rover 75 estate outside a church hall. But after popping inside with a sack of gifts, he returned 30 minutes later and discovered that his car had gone.

Ex-ambulanceman John, 60, said: “I must have dropped my keys. Whoever took my car probably waited until I went inside and then pounced.”

Cops are investigating the theft.

Sgt. Jo Hodson said: “It’s hard to think of a more despicable crime at this time of the year.”

Local Methodist minister the Rev. Jane Carter said: “Clearly someone needs a good dose of Christmas spirit,” the British the Sun daily writes.
