The BRICS group has no plans to create a new currency to replace the existing ones. Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira said.

“There is no project to replace or create new currencies. There is only an interest in conducting transactions with lower costs,” his words are quoted on the website of the Brazilian BRICS presidency.

According to the minister, the bloc is discussing the use of national currencies in mutual settlements.
