Masterpieces from Hollywood star Elizabeth Taylor’s collection are auctioned at Christie’s.

Thirty-nine paintings from the private collection of the star, including paintings of Van Gogh, Renoir and Kandinsky will be presented in the first decade of February.

Self-portrait of  Edgar Dega, still-life by Vincent Van Gogh and Camille Pissarro, paintings of Pablo Picasso and also masterpieces of Wassily Kandinsky and Maurice Utrillo, as well as many other canvases will be auctioned, ITAR-TASS reports.

Taylor following her father’s advice was baying canvases with the same passion as diamonds. The collection of diamonds was sold for $120 million last year.
