YEREVAN. – There was a gas explosion, in the early morning hours of Friday, in a guardhouse of Armenia’s Martuni city.

And the guardhouse’s reinforced concrete covering collapsed as a result of the explosion, Rescue Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

A firefighting-rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.

The rescuers removed Nushik Khachatryan, 22, from the rubble. Also, three members of the family that lived in the guardhouse—that is, Vanik, 48, Sona, 45, and Narek, 17, Khachatryan—received injuries from the explosion and were transferred to hospital. 

Vanik, Narek, and Nushik Khachatryan are in average-severe health condition, whereas Sona Khachatryan is in severe condition.
