YEREVAN. – The local government election campaign got underway Wednesday at several regions of Armenia, Hraparak daily writes.

“The elections will be held on February 12. [And] The most heated battle is expected in Hrazdan [city], where Aram Danielyan—incumbent Mayor and the ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) member—and Sasun Mikayelyan—non-party and [opposition] Armenian National Congress member—will contend. And Hovhannes Prtavyan—Mayor’s advisor and RPA member—nominated and then withdrew his nomination,” Hraparak writes.
