YEREVAN. - US dollar’s average exchange rate against the Armenian dram (AMD) is dropping at a faster rate in Armenia’s financial market. 

Although NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange saw no trading on Thursday, we can confidently say the dollar is weakening. At the stock exchange, one US dollar was not purchased even at AMD 386.50, and the banks offered to pay a maximum of AMD 386.

On Wednesday, the dollar’s exchange rate was AMD 387.28 at the stock exchange.

And at Armenia’s cash foreign currency market, the dollar devalued by approximately AMD 1. The exchange offices reduced one dollar’s selling rate to up to AMD 387, whereas the purchase rate is AMD 384 or AMD 385.
