During the “Address to the Nation” program, Turkey’s PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan again criticized France for passing the bill that criminalizes the denial of genocides, including the Armenian Genocide.

Erdogan noted that France, which throughout history was considered the leader of enlightenment, is now plunging into the consciousness of the dark Middle Ages. “Today France is speaking with the language of racism, discrimination, and conflict. We expect the French people to raise their voice against this situation.

We are continuing the activities with the [French] senators who voted against this bill, so that it is taken to the Constitutional Court. I believe France will say ‘no’ to Sarkozy’s racist and discriminatory policy and to the enmity against Turkey. Turkey is a big country, and it will maintain itself worthy of a great country. We will take our steps, based on the developments. We will impose the sanctions stage by stage,” Turkish PM said, Internethaber of Turkey informs.
