Dec. 3, Patriarch of all Georgia Illia II received RA Ambassador to Georgia Hrach Silvanyan and Primate of the Armenian Church of Georgia, Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan.
The status of Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, belonging of a number of Armenian churches, Armenian monuments and churches’ protection and restoration were discussed in the course of the meeting, RA MFA press-service informed NEWS.am
Georgian Orthodox Church dignitary assured, that these issues will be tackled by joint efforts of Georgian religious and civil authorities. He also underlined the significance of Armenia-Georgia centuries-old relations’ development.
