YEREVAN.- Armenia must be ready not only for blitzkrieg but also a long war, member of ARF Dashnaktsutyun Artur Aghabekyan said at the Friday meeting with Armenian intellectuals in Yerevan.

“If a war is declared against Armenia, we are ready to defend. ARFD is the only force capable of securing combat ability of the country. Therefore, military service should become a prestigious and honorable thing,” he said.

However, in his opinion, such a small country like Armenia is not able to have no enforced conscription.
