YEREVAN. – Romik Hovhannisyan, 49—who was suspected of killing his sister Margarita Hovhannisyan, 50, on Friday at their home in Armenia’s Nor Kharberd village—was detained from a capital city Yerevan street, on Saturday at 12:30am.       

It was found out that Romik Hovhannisyan had stabbed her sister close to twenty times with a kitchen table, on Friday at 5pm, and as a result her sister died.   

The said knife is confiscated.

Romik Hovhannisyan, who confessed to the crime, is under arrest and is being questioned.

A criminal case is launched, and an investigation is underway.
