YEREVAN.- Armenia is one of the most active CSTO members in terms of adopting key documents, head of the Council of CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Vladimir Vasilyev told reporters on Tuesday.

Asked about the CSTO problems, representative of the bloc said they are solved step by step. At the same time Vasilyev noted CSTO failed to respond to the recent crisis in Kyrgyzstan due to lack of legal mechanism, although there were means to interfere to settle the crisis.

Vasilyev believes creation of newly formed structure called Coordination meeting of the chairman of standing committees on defense and security of the parliaments of the CSTO member states is an unprecedented move. The structure promotes development of legal basis for cooperation between the states.

CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha and members of the Coordination Council have arrived in Armenia to follow CSTO CRRF exercise titled Cooperation 2012.
