YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Saturday attended the official opening of the country’s first fab labs (fabrication laboratories), which are small-scale workshops offering (personal) digital fabrication.

The President also participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building of the Ayb Middle School, which is a private educational complex in capital city Yerevan. 

According to those in charge, the aforementioned fab labs will promote research in robotics, physics, technology, engineering and several other domains, and also create a new research platform for young Armenian scientists.

And the new building of the Ayb Middle School is scheduled to open in September 2016.
