Russia can no longer conceal the cases of violation of Turkish airspace with any excuse, Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoğlu stated.

The Turkish PM argued that a Russian Sukhoi Su-34 strike fighter, which was flying above Syria, had violated Turkey’s border, according to Cumhuriyet daily newspaper of Turkey.

“Both us [i.e. Turkey] and NATO have recorded this violation,” Davutoğlu said. “Turkey doesn’t want to increase the tension in relations with Russia. But Turkey will always show sensitivity toward the violation of its borders.”

Russia, on the other hand, maintained that Turkey has made unfounded accusations regarding the violation of its airspace.
