The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is going to hold the first round of negotiations to establish a free trade zone between the Eurasian Union and Israel in November, 2016, Minister of ECE trade Veronica Nikishin told RIA Novosti.

She said that, as usual, they don't comment on the course of negotiations until the end.

Earlier in May Nikishin predicted that the EAEC can sign a free trade agreement with Israel in 2017 which has repeatedly expressed its interest in such cooperation.

The Eurasian Economic Union works since January 1, 2015. Its participants are Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. More than 40 countries and international organizations, including Indonesia, India, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Israel expressed desire to create a free trade zone with the EAEC. Vietnam signed an agreement on FTA in 2015.
